John W. Warble

JOHN W. WARBLE, of Hendricks Township, is a native of Montgomery County, Ohio, where he was born September 4, 1840, being the fourth in a family of eight children born to John and Eliza (Snyder) Warble, who were natives of Maryland and Ohio, respectively. They emigrated to Indiana and Shelby County about 1848, and have since made it their home. The latter died in 1877; the former survives her, and has attained the good old age of seventy- three years. Our subject remained at home and assisted his parents until he attained the age of twenty-three years, receiving a common school education, such as the schools of those days afforded. November 27, 1864, his marriage with Celia Goodwin solemnized, and to their union these three children were born: William, Charles and Edward. Mr. Warble has al- ways made farming his occupation, and he has been quite successful. He now owns 107 acres of well improved land. December 12, 1882, Mr. Warble suffered the bereavement of losing his beloved wife. He belongs to the Methodist Episcopal Church. In politics, he is a Repub- lican.
