            I, James D. Webb, Justice of Peace of Addison Township in said county and state, do hereby certify that on this 27th day of May, 1910 there was filed with me an affidavit charging one  Samuel Nugent  with petit larceny, that I issued a warrant for his arrest, that he was arrested and gave bond for his appearance before me on the 1st day of June, 1910, that on said last named date I learned that said Nugent is but 15 years of age and that I hereby transmit all of the papers in said cause to the Juvenile Court of said county and certify that the jurisdiction of said cause is in said juvenile court, and that I this day notified the truant officer of said county of the pendency of said cause.         VS                         Affidavit for Petit Larceny
Samuel Nugent

            Charles Thompson  being duly sworn, on his oath, says that on or about the 1st day of April, A.D. 1910, at the County of Shelby and State of Indiana, Samuel Nugent did then and there unlawfully and feloniously take steal and carry away two chickens of the personal goods and chattels of  Joseph Hirschauer, then and there being, of the value of two dollars contrary to the form of the statute in such cases made and provided and against the peace and dignity of the State of Indiana. You are hereby commanded to arrest Samuel Nugent and bring him forthwith before me, at my office, to answer the charge of having on or about the 1st day of April 1910, in said County and State, to answer the charge of Petit Larceny as Charles Thompson has complained on oath, and have then and there this writ.

Recognizance Bond

            We Samuel Nugent and  Alexander Nugent  severally acknowledge ourselves bound unto the State of Indiana, in the penal sum of Two Hundred Dollars; if the said Samuel Nugent shall fail to appear before James D. Webb a Justice of Shelby county, at his office therein, at 9 o’clock a.m., on the 1st day of June 1910, to answer the charge of Petit Larceny now pending before said Justice and abide his judgment thereon.

You are hereby commanded to summon  Robert Cropper,  John Hendricks,  Frank Hendricks,  Wm. Woods,  Chas. Roper,  Frank Coyle,  Frank Collins,  Harry Morbley [Moberly],  Wilson T. Conger  to appear before the Judge of the Shelby Circuit Court, at the Court House in Shelbyville, on the 11” day of June 1910, to testify in an action wherein State of Indiana is Plaintiff, and Samuel Nugent is Defendant, on behalf of the State; and return this summons.
