County of Shelby   SS

          Be It Known, That on the 16th day of August A.D., 1852, personally appeared in the Shelby Circuit Court before the Clerk thereof, Denis Healy  an alien, and reports himself for Naturalization, and being duly sworn on oath declares that he is a native of Ireland aged about twenty two years, and owes allegiance to the Queen of Great Britian that he emigrated thence, embarked at Cork in Ireland and arrived at New Orleans in the United States, on the first day of April A.D., 1851, and that is bona fide his intention to reside in and become  A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever All Allegiance and Fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State of Sovereignty whatever; and particularly to Victoria Queen of Great Britian and Ireland.
          Sworn and subscribed the 16th day of August 1852.

          In Testimony Whereof, I Jacob Vernon Clerk of the Shelby Circuit Court, hereunto set my name and the seal of said Court the above date.
