County of Shelby   SS

          Be it Known, that on the 30th day of October A.D., 1852, personally appeared in the Shelby Circuit Court, before the Clerk thereof,  Moses King  an alien, and reports himself for Naturalization, and being duly sworn on oath declares that he is a native of Prussia Poland, aged about 21 years, and owes allegiance to the King of Prussia that he emigrated thence, embarked at Hamburg and arrived at New York in the United States on the 6th day of August A.D., 1851 and that is it bona fide his intention to reside in and become A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever ALL ALLEGIANCE AND FIDELITY to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State of Sovereignty whatever; and particularly to Frederick William 4th King of Prussia.
          Sworn and subscribed the 30th day of October 1852.

          In Testimony Whereof, I Jacob Vernon Clerk of the Shelby Circuit Court, hereunto set my name and the seal of said Court the above date.
