Be It Known, That on the 17th day of August A.D., 1852, personally appeared in the Shelby Circuit Court before the Judge thereof, John Greib- John Krieg an alien, and reports himself for Naturalization, and being duly sworn on oath declares that he is a native of Wertemburg in Germany aged about 43 years, and owes allegiance to Wertemburg that he emigrated thence, embarked at Harve de grace and arrived at New York in the United States, on the day of Septmeber A.D., 1846, and that is bona fide his intention to reside in and become A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever All Allegiance and Fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State of Sovereignty whatever; and particularly to Frederick King of Wertemburg.
