Be it Known, that on the twelfth day of November A.D., 1853, personally appeared in the Shelby Circuit Court, before the Clerk thereof, Michael Malone an alien, and reports himself for Naturalization, and being duly sworn on oath declares that he is a native of Ireland aged about twenty two years, and owes allegiance to Victoria Queen of England that he emigrated thence, embarked at Liverpool England and arrived at New Orleans in the United States, on the first day of May A.D., 1852 and that it is bona fide his intention to reside in and become A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever All Allegiance and Fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever; and particularly to Victoria Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
