This indenture Made the twentieth day of March in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty seven between David F. Randolph and Jemima F. Randolph his wife of the county of Shelby and State of Indiana of the one part & Henry Barlow of the county & State aforesaid of the other part witnesseth That the said David F. Randolph for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred & fifty Dollars to them in hand paid by the said Henry Barlow the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained sold conveyed and confirmed and doth by these presents grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said Henry Barlow his heirs and assigns forever. the following described piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Shelby aforesaid and designated and bounded as follows to wit: it being a part of the west half of the Southwest quarter of Section number nineteen, 19, in Township number eleven, 11, North of Range number Six, 6, East and in the District of Lands subject to sale at Indianapolis Indiana. and bound as follows to wit, commencing at the north east corner of said west half and running thence west eighty eight and a half poles to a stake thence south on the Range line ninety six and three quarter rods to a stake thence east eighty eight & a half poles to a stake and thence north ninety six and three quarter poles to the place of beginning containing fifty two acres more or less together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging and the reversions remainders and profits thereof and all the estate title and interest of the said David F. Randolph in and to the same. To have and to hold the premises aforesaid with all the appurtenances to the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said Henry Barlow his heirs and assigns forever and the said David F. Randolph for himself his heirs executors and administrators doth covenant and agree to & with the said Henry Barlow his heirs and assigns that he the said David F. Randolph is lawfully seized in fee of the premises aforesaid that they are free from all incumbrance and that he has good right to sell and convey the same in manner & form aforesaid, and further that he and his heirs executors & administrators shall and will warrant and defend the said premises to the said Henry Barlow his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of himself & his heirs and also against the lawful claim or claims of all and every other person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said David F. Randolph and Jemima F. Randolph his wife have hereunto set their hands & seals the day & year first above written. Signed sealed and delivered in presence of

Shelby County to wit, Be it Remembered that the within named David F. Randolph & Jemima F. his wife known to me to be the person who executed the foregoing Deed came this day personally before me the undersigned one of the associate judges of the Shelby circuit court, and each severally acknowledged that they and each of them did sign seal and deliver the within and forgoing indenture as and for their and each of their own act and deed the said Jemima F. Randolph the wife of the said David F. being of full age and the full contents and purpose of the said indenture having been first by me made known to her and being by me seperate & apart from & without the hearing of her said husband privately examined upon such seperate examination she did declare & acknowledge that she voluntarily & of her own free will and accord and without any coercion or compulsion from her said husband signed sealed and delivered the said indenture as her act & deed for the purposes therein mentioned. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 20th day of March 1847.
