John  Johnson  heirs

          This Indenture made this Eightenth[sic] day of October A.D. one thousand Eight hundred and thirty, By and Between  John Johnson  and  Parmelia Johnson  both of the County of Fountain, and State of Indiana of the one part and Samuel Fleming of County and State aforesaid of the other part.  Witnefseth; that the Said John in consideration of Eighty dollars to him in hand paid by the Said Samuel the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Have granted Bargained and Sold And by these presents do grant Bargain and Sell unto the Said Samuel his heirs and afsigns forty acres of Land Situate in Shelby County and State of Indiana towit, the north half of the East half of the South west quarter of Section twenty three township twelve North of Range five East in the district of lands offered for Sale at Indianapolis, Indiana, together with all and Singular, the advantages, privileges and appurtenances whatsoever to the Said forty acres, belonging or appertaining thereunto  To have and to hold the Said forty acres of land with the tenements hereditments and all and Singular the premises herein Before mentioned unto the Said Samuel Fleming his heirs and afsigns forever (to and for the only proper use and Behoof of the Said Saml his heirs and afsigns forever)  And the Said John and Parmelia for themselves and their heirs the said forty acres (or if the above mentioned half Should Contain more than 40 acres) of land; with all the premises and appurtenances Before mentioned; unto the Said Samuel Fleming his heirs and afsigns Executors or administrators forever, free from the Claim or claims of them the Said John Johnson and Parmelia his wife, their or Either of their heirs and of all and Every person or persons whatsoever, Shall, will and do warrant and forever defend at our cost and risk by this presents.  In Witnefs whereof the Said John Johnson and Parmelia his wife have hereunto set their hands and seal the day year first above mentioned
