In the matter of  Adrain Gilbert Stewart  petition to adopt child by John and Jennie Tanner

In the Shelby Circuit Court.
            Your petitioners, John Tanner and Jennie Tanner, his wife respectfully show to the Court that they are desirous of adopting as their child and heir at law, Adrain Gilbert Stewart a male infant, of the age of thirteen months old now a resident of said county and the owner of no property, real or personal; that  William Stewart  is living in Shelby county, is a father of said child and  Nellie Stewart  the mother of said child is living in Rushville, Rush County, Indiana, and that both are consenting to such adoption.  Your petitioners further show that they are residents of Addison Township, Shelby County, Indiana, and are able to properly care for, support and educate said child.
            Wherefore, they pray the Court that such order of adoption may be made.
