Notice  of  Administration

                    Is hereby given that the undersigned has this day taken out letters of administration on the estate of WILLIAM M. JOHNSON, late of Shelby county, Indiana, deceased. ALL persons having claims against said estate, are hereby notified to present them duly authenticated for settlement, and all persons indebted to said estate are requested to make immediate payment.                     Before me Jacob Vernon Clerk of the Probate Court of Shelby County Personally came Uzal Johnson Administrator of the estate of Wm. M. Johnson late of Said County, decd. And being by me duly sworn says that the foregoing Inventory contains a full statement of all the property bonds, mortgages, notes, other Securities debts & accounts in favor of the estate of the Said decd. Which have come to his knowledge and of all the monies, bank bills, or other circulating medium which have come into his hands belonging to the Estate of said decd.

                    Wm. H. Sleeth sole Judge of Said Court, Uzal Johnson Administrator of the estate of Wm. M. Johnson deceased respectfully showeth to your Honor that the condition of the estate of the said deceased is about in the following conditions.
The whole amount of assets as per inventory thereof on file in the 
Office of the Clerk of this Court is
    $189.28
The amount collected and paid out in discharge of debts due and 
Owing by said deceased is
 $129.67

leaving a balance in my hands to be yet administered of
the greater portion of which demands are Notes & Accounts

 $59.61
And the said Administrator prays further time

                    Be it remembered that on this 10th day of May in the year 1848 Personally comes into Open Court D. Thacher and Makes oath that the annexed Notice was published three weeks successively in the Shelbyville Recorder and Advertiser a weekly newspaper printed in the Town of Shelbyville Shelby County Indiana in the days and at the times following to wit; on the 24th and 31st day of Jany and on the 7th day of Feby in the year 1845.
