record of Wills in the office of Alonzo Blair, Clerk, 

on this 11th day of September AD 1862

            I Rebecca Macy of Shelby County, Indiana do make and publish this my last will and testament  And direct that my worldly estate be disposed of in the following manner (to wit)
            First  I direct that my daughter Lucinda or her lawful heirs be paid fifty dollars in cash to be made out of my estate.
            Second   I direct that my son Thomas Clarkson have my cupboard table chairs Pollyglot Bible and stillyards.
            Thirdly  I direct that my son Joseph Wilson have all my beds and bedding My trunk, old brass Clock and old Bible.
            Fourthly   I direct that my wearing apparel be equally divided between My three sons Joseph Wilson, Tristram Barnard and Thomas Clarkson.  Fifthly  I direct that whatever may be left of my estate after complying with the above bequests and paying necessary expenses be equally divided between my two sons Joseph Wilson and Tristram Barnard.
            Sixth & lastly  It is my wish and I do hereby constitute and appoint My esteemed friend and relative Jethro S. Folger My lawful executor.
            In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed My seal this 22nd day of December in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Sixty.

       Before me Alonzo Blair Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of said County personally came Oliver Swain one of the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will and being by me duly sworn says that he saw and heard Rebecca Macy (who is now deceased) sign seal and publish and declare the foregoing instrument of writing, to be her last will and Testament.  That at the execution thereof she was of sound mind and memory ad not under coercion or restraint and of lawful age to devise her property.  That she signed her name thereto as in his presence and in the presence of George Swain the other subscribing witness, thereto that he together with the said George Swain subscribed their names to said will as witnesses thereto in the presence of said Testatrix and in the presence of each other that said Testatrix and further says not

            I Alonzo Blair Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of said County, certify that the within last Will of Rebecca Macy, late of Shelby County, deceased, has been duly admitted to Probate by Oliver Swain, whose proofs together with such Will have been duly recorded on pages 84 & 85 of the record of Wills in my office.

            Thomas Barnard administrator with the will annexed of Rebecca Macy late of Shelby County Decd. Would respectfully represent unto the Court of Common Pleas of said County of Shelby, that there came into his hands of moneys of said Estate the sum of         $75.00

That the will of said Rebecca Macy, she specially bequeathed and directed that her Daughter Lucinda be paid the sum of $60.00  She also directed that her son Thomas Clarkson have One Cupboard, table chairs, Pollyglot Bible ad Stillyards—And that her son Joseph Wilson have all of her beds and bedding, trunk old brass clock and old Bible—And she specially bequeathed all of her wearing apparel to her sons Willson, Tristram Barnard and Thomas Clarkson—The undersigned would shew to said Court that he herewith files the receipts of Tristian Barnard Macy, Thomas Clarkson Macy and Joseph Wilson Macy for their respective shares and interests as specified in said will, Marked 1,2, & 3, and for the amount said Testatrix specially bequeathed to Lucinda now wife of Calvin Barnard, he has paid the same into the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas
