Whereas our brother John Stansifer has been declared a Lunatic, and whereas our brother Abraham Stansifer has been appointed Com’ee for him, to and whereas the said Abraham has made a sale of Eight acres of land in the State of Indiana, Shelby County for the benefit of said Lunatic, and whereas in the event of the death of said John, We will be his heirs at law. Now therefore we hereby release the said Abraham from all & every responsibility to us by reason of said Sale, and we hereby so far as we are able to do so confirm to the said purchaser of said tract of land the said sale all of which is done in Consideration of the sum of one dollar to us paid by said Abraham and for the natural love and affection we bear towards our said brothers John and Abraham, witness our hands & seal this ___ day of May 1846
