From Kathy Ridlen:  "I have a hand written sheet which I got from LDS microfilm of Flatrock Cem.  It was from a reading of 1971 by Mrs. Montgomery Waldron.  'William H. Woolley, d 20/22 Aug. 1843, 24 yr 3 mo 22 da.'
This must surely be the same person. For being only 24, William had accumulated quite a bit of property to be sold. From all those things, all his wife got was 2 sheep and she had to pay $1 for them.* I think I would have wanted more. Things were certainly a lot different back then.
Probably Jacob Messic, who bought several items, was related - possibly a brother-in-law. Jacob Messic married Charlotte Woolley."
____________
*The widow was allowed $50 worth of personal property prior to the public sale. A very meager allotment, but somewhat better than just the two sheep she had to purchase at the public sale!-pmf
