Last Will and Testament of
Lucinda  E. Kemp


            In the name of the Benevolent Father of all;  I Lucinda E. Kemp of Shelby county and State of Indiana being of sound mind and disposing memory and realizing the uncertainty of Life and the certainty of death, do make and publish this my last will and testament; hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

            Item 1.  I hereby request that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid.

            Item 2.  I hereby give, devise and bequeath to my husband Isaac R. Kemp the following described Real estate situated in Shelby County Indiana towit:

            Sixty five acres off of the North side of the South east quarter of Section twenty-five (25) in Township Fourteen (14) North of Range seven (7) East, or so much of said tract as may remain unsold at my death.  It is also my will and request that my said husband Isaac R. Kemp shall have said real estate for his own use and benefit so long as he shall live, and at his death said real estate shall be equally divided among my children, share and share alike.

It is also my will and request that said property shall be kept in good repair, buildings insured and all taxes fully paid out of the rents and profits of said lands.

It is also my will and request that my household goods shall be given to my said husband for his use and benefit so long as he shall live and at his death shall be divided among my children share and share alike.

Item 3.  It is my will and request that all moneys and personal property outside of household goods, of which I may die possessed, and after my just debts are paid shall be divided equally among my children.

Item 4.  I do hereby nominate and appoint my son Charles Kemp executor of this my last will and testament and that he shall serve without bond.

In testimony hereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 8th day of September 1904.

State of Indiana, Shelby County, SS:

         Be it remembered, that on the 11th day of October, A.D., 1916 the 9th judicial day of the October Term of the Shelby Circuit Court in said year, come into open Court Charlie Kemp and produces in Court an instrument in writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Lucinda E. Kemp, deceased, and now moves the admittance thereof to probate and record, and in proof of said Will introduces Sylvester Hinds one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, who being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court, on oath, declare and testify as follows, that is to say:  that on the 8th day of September 1904 he saw the said Lucinda E. Kemp sign her name to said instrument in writing as and for her last Will and Testament; and that this deponent, at the same time, heard the said Lucinda E. Kemp declare the said instrument in writing to be her last Will and Testament, and that the said instrument in writing was, at the same time, at the request of the said Lucinda E. Kemp and with her consent attested and subscribed by the said Sylvester Hinds in the style of S.V. Hinds and John T. Wortman in the presence of said testator, and in the presence of each other, as subscribing witnesses thereto, and that the said Lucinda E. Kemp was, at the time of the signing and subscribing of said instrument in writing, as aforesaid, of full age (that is, more than twenty-one years of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory, and not under any coercion or restraint, as the said deponent verily believes, and further deponent says not.

         Sworn to and Subscribed by the said Sylvester Hinds before me Cecil B. Collins Clerk of said Court, at Shelbyville Indiana, the 11th day of October 1916.

         Whereupon it is ordered, adjudged and decreed by the Court that said instrument in writing purporting to be the last Will of Lucinda E. Kemp deceased, is the last Will and Testament of Lucinda E. Kemp deceased, and is hereby admitted to probate and record in this Court.

         I, Cecil B. Collins Clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby County, Indiana, do hereby certify that the within annexed Will and Testament of Lucinda E. Kemp has been duly admitted to probate, and duly proved by the testimony of Sylvester Hinds one of the subscribing witnesses thereto, that a complete record of said Will, and of the testimony of the said Sylvester Hinds in proof thereof has been by me duly mad and recorded in Book 7 at pages 159 & 160 of the record of Wills of said County.

         In Attestation Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name, and affixed the seal of said County, at Shelbyville Indiana this 11 day of October 1916.
