            In the name of the Benevolent Father of all I James Barmore of Hendricks Township county of Shelby and State of Indiana, do make and publish this my last will and testament.

Item 1             I give and bequeath to my beloved wife all of my real estate in the village of Marietta Hendricks Township County of Shelby and State of Indiana Lots No. 24 and 23 in David Englers addition to the aforesaid village of Marietta and vacant lot No 4 in Heistands Addition to the said village of Marietta and lot no. 29 in the aforesaid village of Marietta all within the aforesaid Township County and State and also twenty acres off of the East end of the following described Tract of Land Situate in the County of Shelby and State of Indiana to wit  The south half of the North east quarter of Section thirty two township twelve North of Range Six East in the district of land subject to sale at Indianapolis, Indiana and one Milch cow called Cherry and one Black Horse called Tom and two of the four largest Hogs that are now mine and three of the Stock hogs also that are now mine and one half of all my Household goods and Chattles, and have all of the Corn now on Hands to feed the stock on and must be used for that purpose and none other and the wheat that is now growing and would be mine after paying all expenses of cutting hawlling and threshing to have one third of what will be left.

Item 2             I devise and bequeath to my grandson  Jasper Barmore  Lots No. 25 in the town of Marietta Hendricks Township County of Shelby and State of Indiana in David Englers addition thereto and the Balance of Land East of the Edinburg & Shelbyville State Road, after the twenty acres left to my wife is taken off, let it be more or less, one dun horse called Selam and one cow called Pink and one of the four large Hogs that are now mine and one half of all my Household goods and chattels and one Large Brooding Sow that is now mine.

Item 3             I do give and bequeath to my much beloved daughter  Mary Ann Kenedy [Kennedy]  Lots No 4 in Heistands addition to the town of Marietta in Hendricks township County of Shelby and State of Indiana and one cow or heifer and one half of the Land that lies west of the Edinburg and Shelbyville State Road that is now mine to be off of the South side the said land was deeded to me by  Rezin Robins  & wife and three of the seven stock Hogs that are now mine.

Item 4             I do give and bequeath to my grandchild  John Barmore  Twenty dollars to be paid when he becomes of age.

Item 5             I do give and bequeath to my son  James Wilkason [Wilkinson] Barmore  Lot No. 29 in the town of Marietta Hendricks Township County of Shelby and State of Indiana and the North half of my land on the west side of the Edinburg and Shelbyville State Road

Item 6             I do give and bequeath all moneys and credits and property not before mentioned after paying all of my just debts and funeral expenses to be divided equally between my wife and my Grandchild Jasper Barmore

Item 7             I do hereby nominate and appoint  Luman Jones  Executor of this my last will and testament hereby authorizing and empowering him to compromise adjust release and discharge in such manner as he may deem proper the debts and claims due me. I also authorize and empower him if it shall become necessary in order to pay my debts to sell by private sale or other wise any property necessary to discharge said debts. I do hereby revoke all wills and testaments heretofore made by me.
            In testimony hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty six day of May 1860

            Alonzo Blair, Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of said County certify that the within last will of James Barmore, late of Shelby county, deceased, has been duly admitted to probate; that its due execution was this day proven by O. P. Larmore and John W. Roney, whose proofs, together with such will have been duly recorded on pages ___ of the record of Wills in my office.
            In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court this 23rd day of June 1860
