Last  Will  and  Testament  of

Emeline  D.  Powell



          In the name of the Benevolent FAther of all, I  Emeline D. Powell  do make and publish this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking any and all other wills by me at any time made.
    First.  I direct that after my death my body be decently interred and all my debts and funeral expenses and those of my last sickness bu fully paid.
    Second.  I will and bequeath to my beloved husband  Leonard C. Powell  all my property both real and personal of any and all kinds whatsoever which it may please God in His providence to bestow upon me and of which I am possessed or have any interest in whatever at the time of my death to go to him without administration he paying all my debts and expenses named above.
          In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 6" day of October 1884.

          Be it remembered that on the 25" day of August 1886 Edwin P. Ferris one of the subscribing witnesses to the within and foregoing last Will and Testament of Emeline D. Powell late of said County deceased personally appeared before me  C. J. Fastlaben  Clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby County in the State of Indiana and being duly sworn by the Clerk of said Court upon his oath declared and testified as follows, that is to say that on the 6" day of October 1884 he saw the said Emeline D. Powell sign her name to said insturment in writing as and for her last will and Testament and that the said instrument in writing was at the same time at the request of the said Emeline D. Powell and with her consent attested and subscribed by the said Edwin P. Ferris and Thomas L. Hughes in the presence of each other as subscribing witnesses thereto and that the said Emeline D. Powell was at the time of the signing of said instrument in writing as aforesaid, of full age (that is more than 21 years of age) and of sound and disposing mind and memory and not under any coercion or restraint as the said deponent verily believes and further deponent says not

In attestation whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of said Court   State of Indiana     Shelby County ss:
          I  C. J. Fastlaben   Clerk of the Circuit Court of Shelby County Indiana do hereby certify that the within annexed will and testament of Emeline D. Powell has been duly admitted to probate and duly proved by the testimony of Edwin P. Ferris one of the subscribing witnesses thereto that a complete recored of said will and of the testimony of the said Edwin P. Ferris in proof thereof has been by me duly made and recorded in Book 2 at pages     of the Records of Wills in said County.
          In attestion[sic] whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed the seal of said Court at Shelbyville this 25 day of August 1886
