          Rev. E. F. Mahan  is here from Salem to take up his work as pastor of the Christian church and will preach Sunday morning and evening.  The Christian Endeavorers will meet at 6:30 Sunday evening.

          The Christian church congregation elected the following officers last night:  Elders,  Dr. J. R. Clayton,  Robert N. Harrison and  William Little.  Deacons,  John Dobbins,  George Purvis,  O. W. Cotton,  Will Vanostrand,  John Michelsen,  Frank Elstun,  J. M. Ross  and  John Toner, jr.  Clerk,  Mrs. Ollie Spellmen.  Rev. E. L. Sellers, of Tipton, was released from his agreement to serve as pastor next year, upon the petition of his congregation.
