          Cynthia Burkher  has filed suit for divorce from  Lewis Burkher,  alleging cruel treatment, and asking alimony in the sum of $2,000 and an attorney fee of $150.  The parties reside in Van Buren township, where the defendant is the owner of ninety-seven acres of land, worth, Cynthia says, $4,500.

          An alley twelve feet wide is being opened up between the lots of  Fred Marion  and  Henry Burker  on the west, and  Mr. Bernhamer  and  Mr. Springer  on the east running from Washington to Franklin streets.
