MR.  AND  MRS.  C.  E.  CAUDELL
WILL  MARK  65TH  ANNIVERSARY

          Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Caudell  will observe 65 years of married life at their home, 316 E. Frnaklin St., Wednesday.  They will hold open house through the day and friends and relatives are invited to call.
          Mr. and Mrs. Caudell were married August 24, 1890, by  Squire Deiwert  at his home in Norristown.  Mrs. Caudell was  Miss Stella Heron,  daughter of  Thomas and  Caroline (Green) Caudell [?] and was born in Kokomo.  She is 80 years of age and Mr. Caudell, a native of Shelby county, is 84.
          Their first home was at Wilsons Corner and with exception of two years spent in Kokomo, they have spent their entire married life in Shelby county.  Mr. Caudell was a farmer during the early years and later, after moving to Shelbyville 30 years ago, was a painter.  He retired four years ago.
          They became parents of two daughters:  Mrs. Claude Bass  lives near Morristown and a daughter,  Bertha,  died 17 years ago.

          Miss Hazel Caudell  has accepted a position in the bookkeeping department of the Wolf Quality store and took up her new duties today.

          Shelbyville, Ind., June 1 ---- Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Caudell, south of here, have announced the marriage of their daughter,  Miss Edith Caudell,  to  Thomas Cochran, son of  Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Cochran.  The ceremony was performed by the Rev. O. E. Goodwin.  The bride is a graduate of the Columbus high school.  The couple will reside on a farm near here.

          Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Caudell,  of Wilson, who were married last Sunday by the  Rev. S. Holmes Wood,  at his home in this city, were given a miscellaneous shower Tuesday night by a number of their friends.  Mr. and Mrs. Caudell received a number of useful and pretty presents.  All enjoyed a fine evening.  A trip was made to Flatrock Cave, where they charivaried  Mr. and Mrs. Dennis J. Spellman,  who were recently married.
