           The firm of  D'Heur & Co.  have donated to the W. R. G. the sum of $5 to assist in furnishing the Shelby county cottage at the Soldiers' Home at Lafayette.  Such donations are appreciated and if any other firm, house or individual has a five dollar bill for the same purpose the ladies will very gladly call for it.

          Pierre J. DeHeur  has resigned his trust as guardian of the minor heirs of  David Rice,  deceased, and  A. J. Higgins  has been appointed in his place.
