          Rev. L. A. Gould  and  Mr. A. J. Thurston  went to Franklin today to attend an educational convention.  The convention embraces presidents and professors of educational institutions in the central West.  President W. R. Harper, of the University of Chicago, is expected.  Prof. E. R. Burton, of the same university reads a paper and  Prof. E. B. True, of Rochester, N.Y., theological seminary, also reads.

ADMINISTRATOR'S  SALE.
Notice is hereby given that we will sell at Public Auction on  SATURDAY,  THE  10th  DAY  OF  JANUARY, 1863, at the residence of  Stephen Gould, late of Shelby county, Ind., deceased, the following property, to-wit:  Two Horses, Wagon and Harness, Farming Utensils, Wheat, Corn, &tc.
          A credit of three months will be given on all sums over three dollars, the purchaser giving his note, waiving valuation and appraisement laws, with approved surety. --- Dec. 15th, 1862.
