ARRESTED NEAR HERE
FOR CHILD NEGLECT

Sheriff Jesse Smith
and Deputy Elisha Crosby, arrested Shirley Hartman,
a mattress manufacturer, nine miles north of this city, today, on a charge of
child neglect. Hartman formerly lived at Bluffton and a warrant was mailed from
the officials for his arrest. An officer from Bluffton arrived this afternoon
and took Hartman into custody.
