ACCIDENT  AT  FAIRLAND
IN  WHICH  FOUR  ARE  INJURED.
------
Frightened Horse Overturns Surrey
---The Rev. and Mrs. Dashiel and Two Guests Hurt.
------
Sunday evening about six o'clock, the  Rev. and Mrs. J. W. Dashiel  and their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Cook, of Indianapolis, were injured in an accident which occurred in the southern outskirts of Fairland.
The four were out driving in the family surrey when the horse became frightened at something in the road.  Suddenly shying the animal overturned the vehicle into the deep ditch.  The Rev. Mr. Dashiel and Mr. Cook were thrown into a barbed wire fence, the former receiving a deep gash on the back of the neck and Mr. Cook getting a slash across the nose.
The ladies were held in the surrey by the back curtain which was fastened to the rig.  Both received injuries which are far more serious than those received by their husbands.  Mrs. Cook's injuries are very serious, but are not likely to prove fatal.  She was severely hurt in the hips and the pelvic region.  Mrs. Dashiel was considerably bruised.
James Hoop  was one of the first to reach the secene[sic].  He assisted the ladies to the M. E. parsonage, where Dr. Wells was summoned to give the injured ones the desired medical assistance.
