          Wm. T. Wilson  has received notice of the allowance of an original pension to  May E. Muse,  of Manilla, widow of  James Muse,  at the rate of $8 per month with additional $2 for child, with $70 arrearages.  Mrs. Muse is a daughter of Ex-County Treasurer  J. H. Thomas,  of Ray's Crossing.

          "Big Jim" Muse  has the contract for building the Homer school house, and will manufacture 300,000 brick here in this town, and I hear a faint rumor that if he burns the brick as above stated that there will be a brick storeroom 120 feet deep and a dwelling containing twelve rooms built here during the summer.
