NEWS  NOTES.
----------
George Neal, formerly of this city, but now of Frankfort, was the subject of an operation yesterday.  He is suffering from an internal rupture sustained in falling from a step-ladder a week ago yesterday.  He was fixing a hood on a stove pipe when he fell, alighting on a radiator.  A telephone message to relatives in this city announced last night that the operation had been performed and that Mr. Neal was dying.  At the hour of going to press no additional messages had  been received here.
