SEVERELY  INJURED
LEFT  EYE  TUESDAY
---------------
Wardie Pickett,  age 13 years, residing in John street, severely injured the eyeball of his left eye Tuesday evening about 5 o'clock while stacking furniture at the Davis-Birely furniture factory.  A large nail flew up in his eye and penetrated thru the eye ball.  He was immediately taken to the office of Dr. Sam Kennedy, where he was attended.  Today Dr. Kennedy accompanied him to Indianapolis, where an X-ray was taken.  It is feared that the boy will lose his eye.
