RUSSELL  PITTS  CUTS  LIP
WITH  SHARP  KNIFE
----------
Russell Pitts, a well known farmer of Union township, was painfully injured Saturday afternoon at four o'clock, while assisting in shredding fodder on the  Carey Cotton  farm.  Mr. Pitts was using a sharp knife in severing the bands when in some manner he put too much force on the handle and the blade penetrated his lower lip, making an ugly wound.  The blade cut entirely thru the lip.  Dr. Emerson Barnum* dressed the injury.
