DENIES  CHARGES  OF
WIFE  IN  COMPLAINT
----------
Denial of the charges set out by  Mrs. Mattie Ragsdale  in her complaint for a divorce, is made by  Walter Ragsdale,  her husband, in the counter-complaint which he has filed in the Shelby circuit court.  Mr. Ragsdale asks that he be granted the decree of divorce through his cross-complaint prepared by Walter C. Reece, his attorney.
The couple lived together only a few months, being married August 14, 1924 and separating December 22.  Mr. Ragsdale charges that his wife cursed him and that she drove him away from home.  He says she also filed a petition in the Shelby circuit court shortly after their marriage to have a guardian appointed for him on the grounds that he was an habitual drunkard.  He denies being a drinking man in the action filed against his wife.

Local  Woman  in  Filing  Complaint
Asks  For  Limited  Separation  From  Husband ----------
Mrs. Mattie Ragsdale,  47 east Locust street, asks for a limited separation, alimony of $1,500, attorney’s fees and $50 and the ruling of $10 a week for her support, in the complaint she has filed against  Walter Ragsdale  in the Shelby Circuit court.  Mrs. Ragsdale is represented in the action by Emerson J. Brunner, attorney.
The couple lived together a little more than four months following their marriage on August 14, 1924.  They separated on December 22, 1924. Mrs. Ragsdale claims that the defendant failed to provide a home for her and that they lived with her son.  Her husband remained out late at night and came home in an intoxicated condition, she alleges.  He also cursed and abused her when she refused to sign a deed for the sale of property and the climax of their trouble came when he deserted her.
Mrs. Ragsdale says her husband is worth $4,500 in property that is located in Washington, Indiana, where he is working.
