Well Known Hendricks Township
Farmer Assisted in Observing His
Birthday by Many Friends.
----------
More than fifty friends assisted  Thomas G. Stoughton,  of Hendricks township, in observing the thrity-sixth anniversary of his birth Saturday evening by suddenly appearing at his home in a body.  The affair came as a complete surprise to Mr. Stoughton, but he managed to recover from his surprise in time to help entertain his visitors in a royal manner.  Oysters, cake, pie and coffee were served as refreshments.  The Democrat joins with his many friends in hoping that he may have many returns of his natal day.  The guests at his home Saturday night included  Thomas P. Stoughton  and family,  John Tucker  and family,  Jospeh Stoughton  and family,  Marshall Scott  and family,  Clarence Treon  and family,  Jesse Maxwell  and family,  Charles Reed  and family,  Charles Campbell  and family,  Pearce Timney  and family,  William Shaw  and family,  Otix Moore  and family,  Mrs Rebecca Moore,  George Watson  and family, and  Jesse McGee  and family.
