          Mr. Jake Thomas  spent the night with his son-in-law, James Muse, at Manilla.  He reports Mr. Muse's condition as most serious.  Mr. Thomas says that wheat is bringing fifty cents per bushel at Ray's Crossing.

          George Thomas  has sworn out an attachment against  J. Marsh Wilson,  to recover a check for $190 given by him to Wilson for a hrse, which he declares was warrented to be sound in mind and limb, but turns out to be a "stump-sucker."

          A house situated on the farm of  Dan Nail, near Fairland, and occupied by  Paul Thomas  burned Friday while the family were at the fair.  All of the household goods were burned.
