Uncle John Toner was a welcome caller on the Democrat last week.  Mr. Toner belongs to than[sic] class of our citizens who have built up the county and lived a long life of honor and usefulness in our midst.  In politics he prefers to stand with those who are for the masses and opposed to trusts and monopolies.

Mrs. Toner  takes this method of informing the public that she will continue the grocery business at the late stand of  George C. Thacher,  deceased.  She would return her sincere thanks for the extensive patronage given to the house in the past and ask for a continuation of the same.  The many old friends and patrons of the house will find competent and courteous gentlemen in charge at all times, ready and willing to wait on them.
