Darlena L. Abner, 32, of 1085 Jonesville, died at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. The wife of Chilton E. Abner, she had been in failing health several months.Columbus, Bartholomew County, Indiana

Funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Ernest Carroll at 10 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home where persons may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 a.m. until time of service Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Mrs. Abner was born at Columbus Dec. 4, 1948, the daughter of Norman L. and Betty J. Lucas of 767 Fairview. She was married to Abner June 24, 1967.
Surviving with her parents and husband are grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Lucus* Sr. of Garden City and a half brother, Edward Bishop of North Vernon route 2.
