Virgil D. Andis,  94, of Morristown, died Friday, Beech Grove.
Born March 22, 1911, Carthage, s/o  George M. and Ida Belle (Neuman) Andis.
Married  Lillian S. Wade  on Sept. 12, 1936; she preceded him in death on June 20, 1990.
Survived by three daughters,  Madonna, husband, Frank Willard of Morristown,  Kay,  husband, Vic Boring  of New Palestine and  Brenda, husband, Gary Keffaber of Bloomington; one son,  Stephen, wife, Cinda Andis of Morristown; one sister,  Helen Copple  of Fountaintown; 10 grandchildren,  Greg Willard,  Kevin Willard,  Gary Abner,  Angie Abner,  Eric Nigh,  Kelly Woodworth,  Ashley Longwell,  Gary Joe Keffaber,  Kyle Andis  and  Jordan Andis; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters; one daughter,  Deanna Appleby; one granddaughter,  Jamie Clarke; and one great-grandchild.
Lifelong resident of Shelby County.
Farmed most of his life;  retired from Ford in 1976.
Member of Morristown Christian Church and a former member of the Oddfellows.
Frazier Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., in Morristown.
Burial:  Asbury Cemetery.

Herbert H. Andis, 94, Shelbyville, died Sunday, Johnson Memorial Hospital.
Born June 29, 1906, in Mario, Ill., s/o  Jessie and Grace (German) Andis.  Married Anne Elizabeth Harmon on October 10, 1925, and she survives.
Employed at Admiral Corp., retiring in 1975.
Member of the Indiana National Guard and the Fraternal Order of Police, Shelbyville.
Other survivors include 5 children,  Janet Richardson,  Linda Pike,  Glen Andis,  Mrs. David (Brinda) Watkins,  and  Stephen Andis, all of Shelbyville; 15 grandchidren and 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Preceded in death by three sons, one brother and two grandchildren.

Burial in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Nellie V. Andis, 101, Rushville, died Wednesday at Hillside Haven Healthcare, Rushville.
Born Jan. 18, 1897, in Carthage to George and  Molly (Blessinger) McGee.
Married  Earl Andis on July 6, 1915, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 17, 1983.
Homemaker and a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors:  sons, George E. Andis and  James R. “Sonny” Andis, both of Richmond; four daughters, Helen L. McMillin, Brownstown, Betty M. Ervin, Elkhart, Jean (Dice) Tillison, Rushville, and  Trudy Collins, Shelbyville; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
First Southern Baptist Church, Rushville with the Rev. Kenneth Bates officiating.
Burial:  Arlington East Hill Cemetery.

          Graveside services for former Shelbyville and Morristown resident,  Helen Andis,  57, Spring Valley, Calif., will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Asbury Cemetery, Morristown.  No calling will be held.  Mrs. Andis died Monday.  She was married to  Arthur Andis,  who died in 1968.
          Surviving are her mother,  Mrs. Olive Price Pritchett,  Indianapolis; sons,  Terry Andis,  Hope, and  Arthur Andis,  Spring Valley, Calif.; and sisters,  Christa* Mayo,  Shelbyville, and  Luella Huckleberry,  Camby.  She was preceded in death by a daughter.

Morristown Musician

          Arthur E. Andis,  58, of Morristown, died today at 7:30 a.m. at Veterans Hospital, W. 10th St., Indianapolis, where he had been admitted Thursday.  He had been in failing health three years.  Mr. Andis was a musician, having played trumpet in dance bands and combos in the Shelbyville and Morristown area prior to his retirement three years ago.  An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Willard E. Hensley Post 102, American Legion, Frank T. Strayer Post 1587, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Shelbyville Eagles Lodge.
          Born in Decatur, Ill. on March 10,* 1910, Mr. Andis was the son of  Jesse and  Grace (German) Andis.  On Dec. 29, 1951, he married  Helen Price,  who survives.  Other survivors are his mother of Shelbyville; two sons,  Arthur Edward and  Terry Lee Andis  at home and a daughter,  Miss Betty Carol Andis  of Greenwood; a grandmother,  Mrs. Dora Swango,  and a brother,  Herbert Andis, both of Shelbyville.
          Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Hank Spencer Mortuary in Morristown, with the Rev. Ar____** Duncan officiating.  Burial will be in Asbury Cemetery.  Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
