David Avery  who was buried in the city cemetery Thursday was killed in the train years at South Chicago.  He was in the employ of the railway; his duties being to weigh, seal and record the number of the freight cars sent out.  He had sealed a car and stepped back to take the number at the same time watching an engine on another switch, but did not see a switch engine coming up behind him, and being somewhat hard of hearing did not hear it; he was run over and cut to pieces.  The burial here was without any services, services having been held in Chicago.
