WELL  KNOWN  WOMAN  DIES
Mrs. Harriet Byland Was Seated At Supper Table When She Succumbed To Heart Attack
----------
While seated at the supper table Friday evening, just beginning the evening meal, which she had placed on the table, Mrs. Harriet Byland  uttered a groan and fell forward, dead.  She had called to her husband, Fount Byland, and her son, Marion, and at the time, had poured some coffee from her cup into a saucer and was lifting it to her lips when she died.
Mrs. Byland resided in Rayville, being one of the best known ladies in that suburb of this city.
Dr. Keeney  was called to the Byland homestead immediately, but he was unable to do anything as life had taken its departure.  Mrs. Byland was apparently in the best of health at the time she sat down for the evening meal.  She had been for the past year a sufferer from heart trouble and nervous spells, these following an accident which she met in this city, having been run down by a bicyclist, and this was the indirect cause of her death.
Mrs. Byland was aged sixty-seven years, six months and fourteen days.  Besides the relatives mentioned, she leaves a son, George, of this city, a daughter, Mrs. John [May] Maholm, of Indianapolis, and a sister, Mrs. Fannie Wilson, of Indianapolis.  The funeral will be held at the home at 2 p.m. Sunday, Rev. D. A. Cook  officiating.  Interment in the City Cemetery.  D. B. Wilson & Son, funeral directors in charge.
