           Joseph D. Carrier, 72, Fairland, died Sunday, June 23, 2002, at home.
Born Jan. 3, 1930, in Lincoln County, Ky., s/o  Joseph L. and Fanny Ann (Moore) Carrier.
Married  Kathyrne M. Martin  Oct. 6, 1950; she preceded him in death on Jan. 31, 1989.
Survivors:  son,  Joseph Dwight Carrier of Fairland; daughters,  Mrs. Don (Debbie C.) Bowman of Whiteland,  Mrs. Dave (Jennifer C.) Hubbell of Hartville, Ohio, and  Mrs. Dan (Cynthia P.) Feeley of Fairland;  daughter-in-law,  Peggy Carrier of Fairland;  three brothers,  Victor Carrier  and  Dan Carrier, both of Hustonville, Ky., and  Richard Carrier  of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters,  Noreen Peck of North Vernon,  Lois Reed of Cincinnati and  Mayme Carrier of Hustonville; 13 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by two brothers, the  Rev. Alfred Carrier  and  Roy Carrier.
Lived in the Fairland area since 1954.
Employed for 29-1/2 years at A&P Food Co. as a meat cutter and in the maintenance department, retiring in 1984.
U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Member of Retired Teamsters Union and New Life United Methodist Church.
Carmony-Ewing Broadway Street Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry Crouse officiating.
Burial:  Fairland Cemetery in Fairland.
