DEATH  OF  MRS. MARTHA  CONOVER
-----------
Mrs. Martha Conover died at her residence in this city last Friday evening, at the advanced age of 69 years.  Deceased was one of the earliest settlers here, and has witnessed the rise and progress of Shelbyville, almost from its foundation.  Her husband Voorhees Conover, who died many years ago, was a captain in the Mexican war, and her son, the late Robert Conover, served in the civil war, as an officer of the 16th Indiana Regiment.  Mrs. Conover, we believe, leaves only two children alive, viz:  John Conover and  Mrs. Jerry Weakley.  Her remains were interred in the City Cemetery Sunday afternoon.
