Word has been received of the death of  Mrs. Amanda Jane Darnell, a former resident of Shelby county, who passed away in Waseca, Minn., Monday, October 18.  Mrs. Darnell left Shelby county about 39 years ago to make her home with her son, Darley Darnell, in Excelsior, Minn.  Many of the older residents of Shelby county will remember Mrs. Darnell and will regret to hear of her death.

She is survived by a son, Darley Darnell, of Excelsior, Minn., two granddaughters,   Mrs. J. H. Place, jr., at whose home she passed away in Waseca, Minn., and  Mrs. P. J.
