Thurman L. Donica

SHELBYVILLE -- Thurman L. Donica, 75, Shelbyville, formerly of Bedford, died Friday at Heritage House Convalescent Center.
          Born in Henry County, he was the son of Edward and Jeanette (Helton) Donica. He married K. Lucille (Chadwell) Donica Dec. 14, 1952, and she survives.
          He was a department head at Indiana Gas Co. in Shelbyville for 25 years and retired from there in 1985. He was a member of Sandusky United Methodist Church and was a World War II Army veteran.
          Surviving are two sons: Dr. James Daugherty  of Indianapolis and  Philip Donica  of Martinsville; two daughters:  Valerie Donica  of Shelbyville and  Cheryl M. Donica  of Loma Linda, Calif., and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
          Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Rev. W. Richard Waddle officiating. Burial will be in the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg. Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Glenn E. George and Son Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Sandusky United Methodist Church in Sandusky.
