DIED  YESTERDAY
Well Known Resident Passed Away

          W. Edgar Dryden, highly respected citizen living at 232 West Franklin street, passed away at his home last evening at 5:15 o'clock, after a several months' illness caused from a complication of diseases.  He was 52 years, seven months and twenty four days old.
          Mr. Dryden was born in Morgan county on December 28, 1870, and on March 31, 1899, was united in marriage to  Miss Sarah Horner.  Besides the widow he leaves his aged mother, Mrs. Sarah E. Snyder, of Martinsville, one brother, Harry W. Dryden, of Schenectady, New York, and two sisters, Mrs. E. M. Sweet, of Martinsville, and  Mrs. Homer Elliott, of Indianapolis.
          He was a member of the First M.E. church, of this city, the Odd Fellows lodge at Richmond, and the Elks at Martinsville.
          Short funeral services will be conducted here at the late home on Wednesday afternoon at 12:30, the Rev. E. H. Boldrey officiating.  The Odd Fellows lodge of this city will also take part in the services here. The body will then be removed to the home of  Dr. and Mrs. E. M. Sweet, at Martinsville, where the final services will be held there at three o'clock, the Rev. Boldrey, also officiating there, and the Elks lodge will have charge at the grave.  Interment will be made in the South Park cemetery in that city.  Charles M. Ewing of this city in charge.
