EASON  FUNERAL  TO  BE  SUNDAY
----------
          Funeral services for  Mrs. Minnie Ann Eason, age seventy-four, who died at the State hospital at New Castle Thursday at 8:30 p.m., will be held at the Loren H. Murphy funeral home Sunday at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. John Shirley officiating.  Friends may call at the Murphy funeral home at any time.
          Mrs. Eason was a former resident of the Norristown community and was a life-long resident of Shelby county.  She had been confined to the New Castle hospital for the past several months.  She was born on January 4, 1869, the daughter of  Lackey and  Hannah Conlin.  She was married to  James W. Eason  on October 14, 1894.  He preceded her in death on April 15th of this year.  Mrs. Eason was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist church.
          She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. T. G. Colby, of Flat Rock and  Mrs. George C. Colee, of Noble township.  Also surviving is a brother, who resides in California.

JAMES  W. EASON  IS  FOUND  DEAD

          James W. Eason, age 79, retired farmer who had lived in the Norristown community most of his life, was found dead early Thursday, sitting in a chair in the living room at his home, and Dr. C. J. Price, county coroner, attributed his death to a heart attack.  He had suffered from heart asthma for the past five years.
          Mr. Eason's wife discovered his death about 1:00 a.m. and it is believed he was stricken shortly before. 
          Funeral services will be held at the Norristown Community church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday and burial will be made at the Pleasant Grove cemetery.  Friends may call at the C.F. Fix & Son mortuary at any time.
          Mr. Eason was born in Washington township May 17, 1863, the son of  Mr. and Mrs. John [Lucinda Moore] Eason, and was married to  Minnie Conlin  48 years ago.  Surviving with the wife are two sisters,  Mrs. Addie Baker  and  Mrs. Neva Back, of near Westport.

          James A. Eason, of Norristown, died at the sanitarium in Columbus, at two p.m., Thursday, January 22, aged fifty-seven years eleven months and twelve days.  He was born in Spencer, Ind., but came to this county early in his life.  He engaged in the general merchandise business, which he continued for about forty years.   He was for many years postmaster at Winterrowd post office.  On August 18th, 1884, he was married to  Miss Ella Dodds , who with their two children  Clint  aged sixteen years and  Ursie  aged six years, survive.  He was a member of Farmers lodge No. 147, F. and A.M., of Norristown, which order had charge of the burial.  The funeral was from the Norristown church at two p.m., Sunday January 25, by Rev. J.C. Scull. Edwards & Hageman in charge.
