ANOTHER OLD CITIZEN AND
SOLDIER GONE TO THE GRAVE

Jonathan Elsberry, aged eighty years, departed this life on the 14th of Nov. 1874, at the residence of his son in Noble Township, Shelby County, Ind. Deceased was a native of North Carolina, at a youthful age he with his parents moved to Kentucky, there he enlisted as a soldier to fight the British in the war of 1812. Subsequently, about thirty-five years ago he with his family came to this township where he resided ever since. He was a quiet peaceable citizen.
