WAY  TO  SANATORIUM

Harry Ely, of New Palestine, Fatally
Stricken Near Glen Valley.

          Stricken while enroute to Martinsville where he was to under go treatment,   Harry Ely,  55 years old, widely known resident of New Palestine, died suddenly at 6:30 o'clock in Marion county.  His death the result of uremic poisoning.
          Mr. Ely, an employe of the International Harvester Company for a long period of years, had been in ill health and his physician had advised treatment at a Martinsville sanatorium.  With his son-in-law,  Robert Snodgrass,  he had started Tuesday evening to Martinsville, and, as their auto approached Glen Valley, Mr. Ely complained of being short of breath and asked his son-in-law to stop the automobile.  As Mr. Ely stepped from the auto, he slumped to the ground, dead.
          He was a lifelong resident of New Palestine and leaves a daughter,  Mrs. Berthelda Snodgrass,  and his aged mother,  Mrs. Ida Ely,  both of New Palestine.
          Funeral services are to be held at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon from the mother's home with the  Rev. Vern Krause  officiating.  Burial will be at Memorial Park cemetery with Max Herrlich & Son, funeral directors, in charge.
