Death  of  Thomas  Francis.

          After an illness of only four days,  Thomas Francis  died at his late home on West Franklin street at 5 o'clock, Sunday afternoon.  Deceased leaves a wife and daughter to mourn his loss.
          Mr. Francis was well known all over Shelby county.  For many years he was a dealer in stock and had large interests in this county, but a few years ago he met with reverses and most all of his fortune was swept away.
          He was born in Dearborn county, February 20, 1835, aged 68 years and 7 months.  He came to Shelby county with his parents when he was about four years old, and was married to  Barbara E. Doble  in October, 1858.  He leaves a wife and daughter, one brother, one sister and has buried tow sons.  He was taken sick last Thursday night with bladder and kidney trouble.
          Politically Mr. Francis was a Republican and during the election in November, 1900, was elected to the office of assessor of Addison township.
          The funeral services will be held at his late residence on Tuesday afternoon at 2o'clock, Rev. H. H. Hulten officiating.  The interment will be in the City cemetery.

          Willis Francis  died at his home in Sugar Creek township at 8 a.m. Thursday, September 10th, aged 89 years, 3 months and 20 days.  Funeral services will be held at the house at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 12th.  Interment will be made in the family burying ground, in charge of  James Hoop & Co.

          George W. Francis  died at his home in Brandywine township, at 9:30 a.m., Sunday, June 12, of Bright's disease, age seventy-nine years.  He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, and came to Shelby county when a youth.  He was married to  Nancy Bradley  May 28, 1847, to them were born six children, of whom three are living, one son and two daughters.  His wife died two years ago.  He was a member of Shelby Lodge, No. 28, F.& A.M., of this city, under whose auspices the funeral services were held at two p.m. Tuesday, June 11, in the Center M.P. Church, of which he was a member, Rev. J. G. Smith officiating.  Interment in the Center cemetery in charge of Edwards & Hageman.
