F. Eugene “Deedle” Guffin, 87, of Indianapolis, former Gwynneville resident, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2001, Indianapolis.
Born March 24, 1914, in Shelby County, s/o  Bernice  and  Hallie (Ham) Guffin.  Married  Loretta P. Tribby  on Aug. 30, 1941. She survives.
Survivors:  daughters, Janet Foglesong  of LaPorte and  Anita Ebert  of Avilla;  sisters, Pauline Brokering  of Shelbyville and  Martha Belton  of Waldron; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by one son, Larry Guffin, and two brothers, Rolland Guffin  and  Kenneth Guffin.
Graduated in 1932 from Morristown High School.
Superintendent for Sam Liosi Construction Co. in Indianapolis for 30 years.
Veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Corps of Engineers.
Member of Willard E. Hensley Amer-ican Legion Post No. 102 in Morristown, Post Road Christian Church, and a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge No. 193.
Erlewein Mortuary, 1484 W. U.S. Highway 40 in Greenfield, with the Revs. Doug Carter and James Allen officiating.
Burial in Hanover Cemetery in Morristown.
