          SHELBYVILLE -- Mrs. Martha Anna Hackney, 52 years old, wife of  William B. Hackney, is dead here.  She is survived by her husband, a son,  Glendon E. Hackney, editor of the Shelbyville Morning News, and two sisters and a brother.

          L. J. Hackney Sr.  died at his home in Columbus last Friday afternoon of lung fever.  The remains were taken to Shelbyville for interment.  He was for many years a prominent citizen of Edinburg and stood high in the estimation of all who knew him.

          The infant daughter of  Judge and  Mrs. L. J. Hackney,  of Shelbyville, died at the family residence on Sunday.  The funeral took place on Monday.
