Son of Dewey and Mary Olive (Harshman) Haldeman. Married Beatrice Ruth City May 3, 1943 in Greene Co., Indiana. Parents of Nancy Jeanne, Susan Yvonne, John Dewey and Robert Terry. Married second, Peggy Nell Woolverton on June 12, 1964 in Kane Co., IL. Parents of Steven Craig and Julie Ann. He was a Methodist by faith. He graduated in 1942 and lived in Worthington, Indiana, until he joined the service. He served in the U.S. Navy from Feb., 1943 through Oct., 1945 and the U.S. Army from Sept., 1949 through Feb., 1969. He retired as a Major from the U.S. Army. He was a life member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. He loved watching football, reading and playing cards with family and friends. January, 2004

He was preceded in death by his father, who died Oct 22, 1937, his mother, who died Sept. 25, 1971, his son, Terry, who died Sept. 15, 1991, and two sisters, Thelma City, who died Jan. 1, 1994 and Delories Wilcox, who died Feb. 18, 1998.
