          "Wil" Wilfred D. "Wil" Hanley,  age 71, of Carpentersville died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.  Wil was born in Palatine, Illinois on February 2, 1936.  He was the son of the late  Roy and  Bessie Schlichter Hanley.  On May 19, 1956 Wil married his childhood sweetheart  Elizabeth "Ann" DeVore.  Wil worked in custom livery his entire career having worked for H&M Limousine for 12 years and then owning and operating Midwest Limousine Service.  He was a member of the Dundee Lodge A.F. and A.M. for 47 years.  In earlier years, Wil was very active in Cub, Boy and Explorer Scouting.
          Survivors include his beloved wife of 51 years,  Ann;  his sons,  Mitchell (Lisa) Hanley  of East Dundee and  Timothy Hanley  of Carpentersville; his seven grandchildren,  Shannon and  Patrick Hanley  of East Dundee,  Jennifer Hanley  of Algonquin,  Jeremy Hanley  of Carpentersville,  Joshua Hanley  of Minnesota,  Jessica (Matthew) Bachiochi  and  Daniel Hanley  both of Arizona.  Wil is also survived by his great-grandson,  Cade Hanley  of Minnesota; and his sister,  Patricia McKenzie  of Idaho.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his son,  Douglas;  his sister,  Phyllis;  and his brother,  Dennis.
          Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.  Burial will follow in the Dundee Township East Cemetery, East Dundee.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 - 8 P.M. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.

          Funeral services for Douglas C. Hanley  of Carpentersville, 42, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee.  Dennis Patrick will officiate.  Interment will be private.  Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
          Born Aug. 22, 1963, in Chicago, the son of  Wilfred and  Elizabeth "Ann" DeVore Hanley,  he died suddenly Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin.  On Sept. 8, 2000, in Geneva, Douglas married  Susan Proctor.  In addition to his wife, Doug is survived by his children,  Jennifer Hanley  of Sleepy Hollow and  Daniel  of McHenry; and his brothers,  Mitchell (Lisa) Hanley  of East Dundee and  Timothy Hanley  of Carpentersville.  For information, 847-426- 3436.

Born August 31, 1900 in Kentucky, s/o  Mr. and Mrs. Redmon Handly.
Married  Carrie A. John  on June 26, 1926; she survives
Also surviving:  two grandchildren, a great-grandchild.  Son, Edward, preceded in death.
Retired farmer, insurance underwriter for Penn Mutual Life Ins Co.
Member of First Christian Church, active in Shelby County United Fund organization.

Burial:  Forest Hill Cemetery.
