Been Her Birthday Anniversary

Death Sickle Reaps a Bountiful Harvest
In The County During Past Few Days

          As announced exclusively in the Times-Republican Saturday evening the death of  Mrs. Priscilla *Haggard  occurred at the home of her daughter  Mrs. James Victor, in Somerville, Alabama.  Death was due to paralysis.  Deceased was seventy-five years, eleven months and twenty-five days of age, and a remarkable incident happens in connection with her death and the funeral services.  Mrs. Haggard would have been seventy-six years of age next Tuesday, and her funeral services will be held on that day.
          Two daughters, Mrs. [Huldah] Victor  and  Mrs. Daniel [Leah] Jones survive.  Mrs. Haggard at one time resided in this city, and is well known here.
          The body arrived here at 7:40 o'clock Sunday evening and was taken to the home of her grandson,  William Higgins,  at 35 First Street.  The funeral services will be held at the West Street M.E. church Tuesday morning at ten o'clock, Rev. Jensen officiating.  The W.R.C. will have charge of the funeral service.
          Friends wishing to view the remains should call at the home from seven to nine this evening, and from eight till the time of holding the services Tuesday morning.  Interment will be made in the Winchester cemetery in charge of Edwards & Hageman.

          Elias Hazzard died at his home in Haw Creek township, Bartholomew county at one o'clock p.m., Tuesday March 22, age 62 years.  Funeral services will be held under the auspices of the G.A.R. at the Winchester church at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 24th.  Cummins & Edwards, funeral directors.   [Buried Winchester Cemetery]
