Brother  of  Local  Man
Dies  at  Indianapolis
----------
          Oren C. Hemphill  died at his home in Indianapolis Sunday following an illness of three years.
          He is survived by three brothers,  Herschel, of Shelbyville;  Tillis,  of Indianapolis, and  Edgil,  of Franklin; and three sisters,  Mrs. Gladys Mueler  and  Jessie Myers,  of Indianapolis, and  Mrs. Sadie Green, of Trafalgar.
          Funeral services will be held at the Flanner & Buchanan mortuary in Indianapolis at 1:30 p.m. today with burial at Franklin.

"Jimmy" Hemphill, Age 67,
Dies Suddenly
----------
          James "Jimmy" Hemphill, about 67 years old, died suddenly at about 8:00 o'clock Friday night at the home of his sister,  Mrs. John Crosby, north of Marietta, in Hendricks township.
          A heart seizure was believed to have caused his death.  Coroner Charles Kohlmeyer was called.

          Otis Hemphill, 48, died at his home in Monticello, at 8 o’clock Wednesday night, of influenza and pneumonia.  The body will be brought to the home of his brother,  Louis Lancaster, of Sugar Creek township, Friday night.  Mr. Hemphill is survived by the brother and one sister.  Funeral services will be held at the home Saturday morning and the body will be buried in the Boggstown cemetery.

S. H. HEMPHILL  DEAD
----------
          Samuel H. Hemphill died this morning at eight o’clock at his home 137 Elizabeth street. His death was due to tuberculosis.  He was aged forty-three years, six months and four days.  Mr. Hemphill is survived by his wife,  Mrs. Carrie Hemphill, by a son  Norval, and a daughter,  Edna.  Other relatives are one brother  Iturea Hemphill, and five sisters,  Mrs. Hannah Stroup,  Mrs. Josie Williams,  Mrs. John Kellar,  Mrs. Roy Logan and  Mrs. Oliver Anderson.  He worked at the Conrey-Birely table company’s plant for many years, and was a sober and industrious man. The funeral services will be held Thursday morning at eleven o’clock at the Second Mount Pleasant church. Interment will take place in the Mount Pleasant cemetery.  Stewart & Fix in charge.

          The infant daughter of  Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Hemphill died at their residence in west Hendricks township March 4th and was buried on March 5th at Second Mount Pleasant. D. B. Wilson funeral director.
